Last Tuesday I went to the local Mayo Clinic for a mammogram. I checked my medical portal this morning since I had not heard from anyone. Well, the mammogram showed negative but I have a higher risk because of familial Breast cancer so they want me to be seen by the Breast Cancer Center at Mayo, Rochester.
I’m not sure what it all means. I do have a grandmother on my mom’s side and an aunt on my dad’s side both had breast cancer I have a higher risk. So I guess they want me to be seen by specialists. It’s still scary. I don’t know what it all entails. But I’ll go and find out. It’s the weekend so no one is in, I have to wait until Monday to call.
Until then I wait.
